This year, we added a new component to our Christmas Project packages, our literacy boxes. Each family received gifts, a box of groceries, and a literacy box filled with both school supplies and books to support at-home learning. Each child also received lifetime access codes to digital libraries complete with books for all ages!

We initially started off supporting 4 families this holiday season. This week, just 3 days before our Christmas Project delivery, a local social worker reached out to our organization on behalf of a family in need of our help. As a small organization, we’re truly grateful to our community for spreading the word about the work we are committed to doing. We’re here to serve in whatever ways we can. No one ever gets turned away. Last but certainly not least, thank you to the Roots Strong team for working so hard to make this project come to life.
