Literacy Matters t-shirt.jpg

March 13th of every year marks a celebration of all things Detroit. This year, we're so excited to launch our 313 Day Campaign. Starting on March 13th, 2021, our mission is to collect 313 children's and young adult books to be distributed to families right here in the city of Detroit. Why? Because literacy, representation, and book ownership matter. Illiteracy is a silent issue that affects so many individuals and young people in our city. Our hope is to collect a diverse collection of books representative of the youth we serve. Once we have met our goal of 313 books, our team will work to distribute books to families throughout Detroit in need of books for their children. We can't do this without you! Read below for more information on how you can help. Please share our campaign with your friends and loved ones. Nothing stops Detroit.
