Mount Concord Basic School, founded by Principal Dawn Ellington, is an early childhood institution that serves as the first stage of learning for children in the Glengoffe community.
Principal Ellington and her team of women educators strive to empower Glengoffe's first learners with a unique learning experience and curriculum based on cultivating youth with a desire to learn. Ellington has implemented a reading curriculum to help in building the literacy and comprehension of her students. This is vital in establishing a way for youth to build a strong foundation in functional literacy.
We were excited to support the school in providing 40+ backpacks filled with school supplies for the new school year.
