Lyndsay Archer, MBA is a Michigan native. The daughter of Jamaican immigrants, her rooted upbringing and awareness of the lack of resources afforded to her communities in both Detroit and Jamaica gave her unique insight into how sustainable programs can help to bridge disparity gaps. Her multifaceted upbringing has instilled in her a deep sense of valuing the importance of heritage, culture, and the impact of education. She graduated from Wayne State University with her degree in African-American Studies in 2019. In 2020, she graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with her MBA in Healthcare Administration and is an incoming first year medical student.

Lyndsay has been an active participant in rallying for human rights causes in her community of Detroit. She served on the Community Foundation for South East Michigan's Youth Advisory Committee from 2016-2018 and served as chair from 2017-2018 where she worked with her colleagues in advocating for local youth-empowerment programs and nonprofits. Her connection to the people has continued to keep her rooted in understanding that the empowerment of any community begins with cultivating our youth.

The humble roots of her parents' and grandparents' upbringings in addition to their resilience, drive, and heart for their communities have inspired her to contribute to creating sustainable pipelines for youth who live under the same or similar circumstances that her parents once did. It was this rootedness and a deep passion for children that inspired the founding of Roots Strong, an organization dedicated to serving and empowering youth, across the globe, to cultivate leaders who will ultimately empower the world around them.

“An Empowered World Depends on Empowered Youth.”
